A HOME-HOOKUPS host is, essentially, a small business owner. You are free to establish your own fee structure, determine what, if any, amenities to offer and provide availability of site(s) at your convenience and risk. You can be in business with little more than an electrical outlet and an outdoor spigot, or you can offer more goodies at a higher price. You may choose to rent space for longer terms or offer parking on your farm, ranch, motel or other property, the choices and options are limitless.
HOW TO PRICE
Current RV sites range from $25.-$40.00 per night Remember that they may have amenities you don't, but you are selling more than just space, you are selling a personal experience. If you can price just below your local market you will have a good chance of keeping your site full. RV’ers do shop for price, especially if they are going to stay for more than one or two days. You should research your local RV parks to get an idea of your area's market.
CHECKING IN
You will be called or e-mailed by your potential guest first. You should confirm your price, availability and location at that time. Also discuss any limitations or restrictions you have. When your guest arrives, confirm the suitability of your site, register your guest, take a cash payment and be a good host by answering questions regarding the community and local events.
GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS
You need to be aware of any zoning regulations or homeowner association covenants which restrict your ability to have an H&H. You must also be considerate of your neighbors you don't want complaints so definitely don't infringe on their privacy with your RV parking and any noise associated with your guests. Definitely don't block driveways.
OUR FEE STRUCTURE
HOME-HOOKUPS is a free service to potential guests and hosts, we are an ad supported service.
